STEAM Academy Poland
A comprehensive certification training aimed at equipping teachers and educators, with the competencies needed to effectively implement the STEAM methodology in educational institutions and in their professional practice.
What is STEAM?
STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics. STEAM is based on project-based learning, where students, guided by the teacher, move seamlessly between these five disciplines, working in teams and using their unique talents and aptitudes.
About the foundation
The STEAM Poland Foundation promotes the modern educational approach of STEAM. It runs the STEAM ACADEMY POLAND certification programme—a 5-stage online course for teachers and educators. As the only institution in Poland, it is authorized to issue STEAM Educator certificates as part of the European certification programme ‘Odznaka+’ (‘Badge+’).
The founder and academic supervisor of STEAM ACADEMY POLAND is Professor Marlena Plebańska, whose innovative teaching and learning models have been implemented in numerous Polish schools, kindergartens, universities, educational institutions, companies, and NGOs. She has authored over a hundred scholarly articles and numerous academic publications, as well as books such as STEAM Lessons, STEAM Kindergarten, and STEAM School. Her contributions earned her the title of ‘Polish Woman of the 21st Century’ in 2022 for promoting STEAM education.
